Office space

The good news: it looks like we're moving after all.
I know, i didn't really keep you up to date on the moving business, so you may have missed the part where we were sure it wasn't gonna happen, but it's back on.
I don't wanna go "YAY" just yet, but it's looking good.

The bad news: i didn't buy this desk for my new office when i had the chance, and now i can't find another one like it.

It wasn't in the best condition, but still, so awesome
Look, the other side has shelves and a secret compartment

So, if there are any collectors of mid-century Danish design furniture out there who needs to clear out their basements, i'll take a desk!

What does that shop do again...?

Oh yeah, that's right... tattoos!
Haven't seen too many of those around here lately.
Stingy Allan is keeping all of his tattoo photos for his own blog (normally i'd link to that, but you probably know it already, so whatever), and i practically had to beg for this one.
But it worked and i got it.
So ha!

This one is from yesterday, and it's a straight up portrait.
And coming from Uncle Allan, that's a very rare thing.*
The tattoo is on our old(est) friend Martin, and the handsome devil on his arm is a hero and inspiration of his.
And no, Helle, it ain't MJ!

Ladies & gentlemen, Mr. Fats Waller
It was a long, long day, so we ordered some delicious food and had a dinner break

It's gonna be a while before i'll have any new tattoos to post here.
Not just because i have to wrestle my husband for his, and the other two guys are out trotting the globe, but mainly because we're taking some much needed time off for christmas.
There'll be people at the shop from time to time, but if you really need to reach us (and it better be important!) just send us a mail.

However, i am hoping to have some info on the new shop this week.
It's been... complicated, but hopefully there'll be something to share with you all soon.

This is old, but you get the idea... merry christmas y'all!

*Who here's guessing that the first draft had roses on it?

Worlds greatest cleaning lady!

Look what was waiting for us at the shop today:

Muffins! Fancy ones too!
Extra special, extra colorful
Sprinklicious
I ate this one
Gentleman bird tried to get in on the muffin action, but he couldn't, being dead and all

Thanks Anne, you really outdid yourself this time!

Our Lady of Doom

The antler lady has been for sale at the shop for a couple of months now, but we've just been way too busy to send her overseas.
She's too big to fit in an envelope, so we had to find some paper tubes that could fit her, and that mission has finally been accomplished.

So, if you've always wanted to own your very own limited Uncle Allan print (only 60 made), signed and numbered by the man himself, here's your chance!

The info on how to purchase one can be found on our myspace (in the merch blog post).
If you're not on myspace and want to know more, just post a comment here.

We're only gonna ship out once before closing down for Christmas and new years, so if you want it this year, place your order before the 21st of December.

The lady measures 51x36 cm and she's printed on fancy card stock

We're back

Sorry for the lack of action on this blog while we were in Japan.
I hope you've checked mine and Allan's personal blogs from time to time, at least they've been sort of active.

Today is the 30th and for some that means time to send your in submissions for some sweet, future Uncle A tattoos.
I just wanted to let you know that it's gonna be a little while before you'll get a reply to those mails.
I'm just gonna collect them all this week, and then get out the calendar and try to fit everybody in.
After that, i'll get back to you, so please don't mail me more than once.

Unfortunately, i can already tell that there won't be time for everyone this time around.
This is not because i don't want to give you all appointments (there's nothing i'd rather do) or because Allan doesn't want to tattoo you (if i didn't occasionally stop him, he'd tattoo all the friggin time).
It's simply because there's not enough time.
We're already booked for a really long time and we don't want to be booked so far into the future that it won't be possible for us to take a trip somewhere, or a day off once in a while, so we're gonna try to fit in as many as possible, and the rest will have to get back to us when we take new clients again.
The selection process is not gonna be first come, first served, so you still have all week to write me.
Ok, i think that's it!
If you don't get an appointment this time around, don't be discouraged, we'll open up for new clients again in a couple of months.

Oh, also, i'm starting to get a few Milan mails already too.
If we do Milan in February, it'll be the same deal as last year: walk ins only, and you'll be able to chose from a bunch of line drawings that'll only be tattooed once.
Kind of a custom flash type deal!
We don't take request for the flash, Allan is gonna do whatever he feels like, and if you like it, come by the booth and get it tattooed.
All be designs will be made to take around three hours and as usual he's not tattooing any weird or awkward spots.

Ok, now that's really it!
I'm actually super sick and the only known cure to this type of food poisoning* is Star Trek and Lucifer snuggles.

Just because no one likes a post with no pictures, here's one of us at Inkrat with our American buddies, Hata and Allans Singapore clients

*Damn you sushi, i have your image tattooed on my arm and this is how you repay me?
Shame!

Kimono pattern awesomeness

Allan had two sessions on his back this weekend, both around six hours.
Phew.
More pictures here.

Light as a feather

Allan did two of these little foot feathers (slightly different from each other, but i figured one photo was enough) AND that giant cover up on Wednesday.
He sure is busy here.
Tomorrow; Yokohama!

Ellie's first tattoo (or is this the second feather?)

Back in Koenji

So, now we're in Tokyo, Japan.
Me and Allan, that is, we left Nick, Eckel and Lucifer at home.
We arrived on saturday and today is... i don't even know, wednesday maybe?
Whatever day it is, it's damn good to be home!

Allan has been working a lot, there are pictures up on his blog already.
Besides that we're just hanging out with our Japanese/American posse.
This weekend Allan is gonna get some work done on his backpiece and the weekend after that we'll go to a mini convention in Osaka.
Oh, and we're going to a j-pop concert too, so awesome!

Today at Inkrat
Gui is getting some flames covered

Later tonight, Okonomiyaki at one of our favorite restaurants, yum!

Help? Anyone?

Since we'll soon be getting a lot more room (*insert excited squeal here*) we can finally get into doing some of the things that we've talked about doing for years, but never had the room for.
Like printing our own t-shirts and stuff like that!
But i know nothing about these things, so i thought i'd ask your advice, oh wise blog readers.

There's a ton of different screen printing stuff on ebay, everything from the very hobby-like to the very pro looking stuff and i'm... well, i'm confused.

All advice is welcome, comment away!

Sanna

Finally we have a decent picture of Sanna's backpiece!
Allan remembered to bring the good camera today, so hopefully this marks the end of the "shots-from-Amalie's-iphone" era.
Hopefully.
Today they did a lot of green and a whole lotta pink.

Looking good, huh?
Even the rinse cup was a somewhat murky, but happy pink

We leave for Japan on friday, so if the next couple of weeks are a bit quiet, that's the reason.
I'll try to post some tattoo pictures while we're there, but i never know what the internet situation is like in our apartment.
We will also try to post regularly on our personal blogs, so keep checking in.

Weekend

We went to the shop yesterday, on our day off.
We were actually just going to pick up some important mail, but since both Eckel and Nick were working, we ended up staying for hours, chatting and drinking coffee.

Eckels clients were a bit tired

And as if going to our own shop on a Saturday wasn't enough, we decided to ride down the street and check in on the Ripleys too.
They've been in Australia, so it'd been a while since we'd seen them, and even longer since we'd seen their shop.

Marija and Judd have just about the nicest shop you could ever imagine, here's a tiny little part of it:
Allan and Lucifer watching Judd work
Oscars area, Lucifer is so getting one of these in the new shop!
Back at Conspiracy, Eckel had moved on to the second client of the day

This is what Nick did yesterday, if you wanna see Eckels work... well, go bug him about that on his blog!

A different kind of hootin'

Here's what Allan did today.
He also made lots of lattes, ate cake, and listened to WotW, but that we don't have pictures of.
Some parts are fresh, some are healed, but i think the pictures turned out pretty good.

Ain't that the truth, owl buddy!

Thanks for the cake Richard!

Wallpaper!

Remember this post?
Back in May we were supposed to redecorate the shop, but that obviously didn't happen, in part due to the fact that we wanted something bigger.
But now, with all these new rooms, wallpaper is so back on!
At least in the front room.

How about some sweet "I Love Lamp" wallpaper?

Oh yeah, it is on!

Breaking news!!

Attention dear blog readers and clients, you heard it here first:
Conspiracy Inc. is moving!

That's right, we've been discretely looking around for a bigger space for a few years, but never really found anything until now.
And we weren't even looking that hard, but that's the way it always happens, right?

Now don't panic, we're staying in Copenhagen and the new location is a mere 10 minute walk from our current position.
I'm not gonna reveal the exact location just yet, cause we're not moving right away, but i'll say it's in a nice, quiet area that we think you're gonna love just as much as we already do.
The shop is gonna need a little work before we can move in, it's kind of a fixer upper, and we also have a Japan trip coming up.
But we're hoping we'll be able to open sometime in the beginning of next year.
Ok, enough talk, here's a sneak peak!

The future workroom
Asking our new landlord a bunch of dumb practical questions...

Everyone who has been crossing their fingers for us can uncross them, i know they must hurt by now.
And everyone who lives nearby and can work a paintbrush, expect a call in December!

Friday news broadcast

It took me a while to track this down, but here's some tootin', or hootin' as it's apparently called, for your viewing pleasure.
The hoot is quite powerful, so use it with great care!

Now, to the news.
As you may already know if you're a Plog follower, Nick is leaving us for a while.
This makes us very sad, of course, but he will come back, so it's not a huge deal.
At least that's what we keep telling ourselves.
I try to focus on the good stuff, such as the souvenirs he'll bring back for me from Hong Kong.
If you have a piece in progress by him, and you'd like to get it finished before he leaves, just send him an email (pick@electricpick.com) and he'll hook you up with a date.

In other Conspiracy news, Eckel has a blog now!
Told you the hoot was powerful.
Go follow him, he has some good stuff up already.

A rose

I think it's about time i start posting some tattoos photos on this here blog, right?
I'm very sorry it's been so long, but Allan posts his finished pieces on his own blog, and he won't let me post that many in-progress photos.
He's very selfish you know.
And Nick is the same.
Selfish, both of them.
So it's a good thing we have Eckel then, he hasn't even started blogging yet!
Here's a crappy iphone pic of the tattoo he did on Morten today:

Maybe, hopefully, we'll have some more tattoo pictures next week.
Maybe even taken with an actual camera.
I know, i spoil you.

B-day

(Photo from Cute Overload)

Happy birthday!!

We love you almost as much as we love miniature horses that are also dwarfs (i've been spending way too much time on that site, haven't i?)

See you later!

Cake, at a whole new level

We love carrot cake, all carrot cake, but as you can see, this one was pretty special.
This didn't just taste amazing, it aimed to please the eyes too.

The carrot king and the two bunnies

Sweet customers, you spoil us!

Canon crisis

Ok, i seriously need to get at least one of my cameras fixed, this is not working for me.
I took these of Sannas back yesterday with my iPhone because my camera (powershot) and my backup camera (G9) broke, and Allan didn't bring his.
These are clearly not very good (and the toycam ones were even worse) but i needed those progress shots.
So there.
Sorry.

I'll get better ones in November when it's time for (da da daaarrhh) colors!

Finished lines and black, at least for a while

No one would have believed...

It almost seems silly to post any pictures from last nights WotW marathon, given the fact that both me and Allan blogged about it already.
And there's a bunch of pictures on our myspace too.
But i have to, i don't want the shop blog to feel left out!

All this and Dr. Horrible too
No, they did not collapse, what up!
Run, puny humans!

Here's what it's all about:

Fall In

Nicks art show (not a solo show, but we'll call it Nicks show anyway) was tonight.
It went well, the gallery was nice and there were lots of people there.
With all of us being just slightly socially awkward we didn't stay long, but it was nice and i highly recommend you go check it out.

Sweet idea, right?
Man of the hour
Allan and Ninja Thomas (and Lucifer) discussing something aahhtsy
Wookie got a new camera (mine broke, again, that's why these are all from the iPhone... sorry!)
The ladies!
It's Kulturnat in Cph, so there was a whole bunch of weird shit going down tonight

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Art show in Cph.

You may or may not have read this on the Plog already, but Nick has a few pieces in a show here in Copenhagen at the Corfitzen Gallery.

So if you're in Copenhagen between the 9th and 31st of October, why not drop by the gallery and check out these lovely ladies in person?

Yellow Cake baker sisters!
The opening is on friday, we'll be there!

In other news, we're closed on friday, saturday, sunday and monday, but we're back at the shop on tuesday the 13th.
If you need to reach us, just send us a mail!
