The perfect client?

That might be what you'd call someone who sits, still and without complaining, for six hours of lines, and brings us amazing homemade cake all the way from Sweden.

So good...

Thanks Kajsa!

July guest artist revealed!

So, as promised yesterday, here's some Conspiracy news, and they're good news too!
Especially for those of you who aren't willing to wait months and months to get tattooed at Conspiracy Inc.
Shocking thought, i know, but people like that do excist, and if you're one of them keep reading.
See, we have a guest coming and he has appointments available in just a few weeks.

Eckel from Times of Grace in Germany is gonna come work here from July 20th to 24th.
He's an awesome tattoer and a swell guy, and we think you should come get tattooed by him!

Such a handsome guy too...

Here's some of his sweet tattoos and paintings for you viewing pleasure:

Please contact us by mail (conspiracyinctattoo@gmail.com) or call the shop
(+45 33 36 22 77) to book an appointment now.

There will be more exciting guest artist news coming up in a few days, when we have exact dates, so check back soon.

Gypsy girls and bad excuses

It's been a little quiet on the Conspiracy blog lately, sorry about that.
It's not cause we're not doing stuff, or that we're doing stuff and we just don't wanna tell you.
Not at all.
We've just been traveling and now that we're home for the summer, we're still super busy.
Will it ever slow down?
Hopefully not!

I'll be posting some exciting guest artist news real soon, but until then, here's few pictures of some work in progress.

Mads is almost done with his gypsy girl-mask-toucan 3/4 sleeve
They finished the eyes after i left, but she's still pretty damn cute, right?

Alright, more updates soon.
Promise!

How to book for the 2009 London Convention

On the 25th, 26th and 27th of September 2009 we, Allan and Amalie, will be attending the 5th London Tattoo Convention.

Last year at the London Convention, Allan had some rules for how to book an appointment for the show.
These rules were made so we could make sure that Allan would get to do fun pieces that wouldn't break his back and put him in a bad mood.
And also to make sure that the pieces he'd start at the show would get finished there too.

And it worked out really well last year.
People came up with some great ideas, Allan had a good convention and got to do some awesome tattoos on some great people.
And that's why we'll be doing the same at this years convention!

So these are the rules for this years London Convention, please read them before writing us:

1) You can write us between the 10th of July and the 1st of August with your request.
After the 1st Allan will go through the mails and pick out those he'd like to do at the show.
You can write to a@uncleallan.com or conspiracyinctattoo@gmail.com.
We won't reply to any mails until after the 1st of August, when Allan has had a chance to look through the mails.

2) Allan won't be doing necks, ribs, stomachs, hands or insides of upper arm.
These are all places that suck to do on a convention.
If you wanted one of those spots, sorry.
There are usually no good chairs or beds at conventions and that makes these spots hard to do, for both Allan and the client, so he won't do them.

3) Try to think of something really fun to do.
Allan will pick the craziest idea, and the ones he thinks will be the most fun to do.
So think about something that hasn't been done 10000 times already.

He always loves to do animals, strange things and objects, traditional/old school portraits, and of course roses, but try to surprise him and come up with something truly original.
There is nothing wrong with hourglasses and owls, but they have been done a gizzilion times and he'll most likely do them a gizzilion more times at the studio, so try to think of something new.

4) It has to be something that can be finished in max. 4 hours.

5) Only write if you are really sure that you can make it!
We don't want to waste time emailing and scheduling people who'll cancel at the last minute, so if you aren't sure that you can afford it or make it there, then don't bother writing.
There are other people who are sure, so don't waste their chance of getting tattooed.

6) Include this information in your mail:
-Basic idea of what you want
-Where on the body
-What size
-Anything else you think Allan will need to know in order to make your tattoo

Remember that it is between the 10th of July and the 1st of August that you can write.
Do NOT email us before the 10th.
Your mail will probably be forgotten, so if you aren't sure about what date it is then just wait a day.
I won't decide right away any way and it's not about who writes first.

Thanks for your cooperation and we look forward to hearing your ideas!

Even the good old spots, like a lower arm, can be awkward to do at conventions!

Ps. Allan won't be doing a guestspot anywhere in the UK before or after the convention.

First week back

Phew, it's been rough coming back from Japan this time.
We miss Tokyo so much, and i'm having some serious onigiri withdrawals already.
Rough i tell ya.

But the weather has been great, the warmest April in years (or is it ever?) and that always helps, right?
In fact it's been so great, that the local drunks seem to think summer is here already, and so it's that time of year where they come into the shop, and rant about some tattoo they're never gonna get.
Note to all summer-drunk people of Copenhagen: We will not tattoo you!

Even after you sober up, and maybe still want to get tattooed, we're all booked up for the summer (and beyond).
So book a time well in advance and maybe next summer you can look all fancy with your shirt off!

To all the sober clients and friends, you can now enjoy a cup of coffee outside in the sunshine.
Yes, we've taken out the summer furniture again, so come by and try it out for yourself.

Me and Allan having a bagel break in the sun

Allan is back to working monday to friday and Nicks May attendance will be posted here soon (right Nick?).
No tattoo pictures today, but go check Allans blog for some of that good made-in-Japan stuff!

A little late, but hey!

I believe i promised to post a picture of the finished peacock sleeve.
I actually didn't think i'd have a chance to do it until after Japan, but whaddayaknow, Allan brought along the right memory card!

So here:

I'll post some fresh made in Japan tattoos here soon, in the meantime you can check out Allans blog, and mine, for updates about our Japanese adventures.

In less than two days we'll be off to Japan, our most favorite place in the world.

In the meantime, Nick will be at home, watching the Conspiracy.
Make sure you drop by with some coffee once in a while, so he doesn't get too lonely.

Welcome to the lounge

Mondays aren't always bad.
Especially if you can hang out in a nice, warm shop all day.

Today i didn't even open my computer.
Instead i had a "do-random-practical-stuff-around-the-shop-and-also-drink-lost-of-coffee" day.
So, i hung some paintings and cleaned up in places that hadn't been cleaned in a while.
Stuff like that.

But this post isn't really about me and my non-eventful day (sigh of relief from all readers).
No, it's (mostly) about one the the things i put up on the wall.
See, our second customer of the day had made a super realistic portrait of Allan, as a present.
Nice, right? We thought so.
It's done on a computer or something like that, pretty fancy stuff.

Without further ado (there's been enough ado already, wouldn't you say?), i give you Johann's antlered masterpiece:

And here's the artist himself, at the end of what will possibly be the final session on his awesome, and now also signed, sleeve*

Ok, i did do one more thing on my "do-random-practical-stuff-around-the-shop-and-also-drink-lost-of-coffee" day that i wanted to blog about.
The other day me and Allan bought some seat cushions that i stitched together to make one large super cushion, and today we brought it/them to the shop.
It now lives in the workroom, where i've been hanging out all day, cause it's just so damn comfortable.
And it's right next to the radiator too, so it's super warm.
Tomorrow i'm putting up some blinds, so we don't have to drag the screen out from the back room every time someone has to get partially naked.

The new lounge area, featuring the new artwork. The baskets are for the customers clothes and other personal items (another new thing we're trying out)

*Check Allans blog for pictures of the finished tattoo, they should be on their way

The gang's all here

Last week me and Allan went shopping at Tiger (an everything-for-10 kr. store we have here in Denmark) and there we found the last three "The Tick" action figures we were missing.
We've had Captain Liberty for some time now, and boy has it been lonely at the shop for her.

So, today, after eating a late dinner at the shop, we finally decided to take the three new ones out of the box and join their superhero buddy on the shelf of goodness and selfless deeds!

Nick adjusting Batmanuels cellphone, right under the no-cellphone sign
Here they come to save the daaaay!
Oh, and tattoos were also made at the shop today.
Here's what Nick did today and here's one of the three pieces Allan did.

Decoration dreamin'

Ever since we decided that May was gonna be shop makeover month, i've been thinking about painting, putting up wallpaper (which i really hate doing, by the way), moving around the furniture, buying new stuff and putting up new art work.
But, to be honest, mostly wallpaper.
I pretty much wanna put up wallpaper everywhere.

This is the shop where we're gonna buy whatever wallpaper we decide to get.
They have a lot more at their showroom on Østerbro, but just looking at the website is pretty inspiring.

Maybe the shop will end up looking like this once we're done?
Or this?

Ok, maybe not, but there will be wallpaper and it will be magnificent!
And it's nice to have something AFTER Japan to look forward to.
